The opportunity

We are looking for a highly driven Head of Operations to build the operational foundation for the next stage of Balance Phone. Our DTC business is growing at a very high pace, B2B is becoming a meaningful new channel, and we’re establishing local operations in the UK and US. We’re now looking for someone who has already lived through the operational challenges we’re about to face and can build the systems, processes and team that will allow us to scale several times from here.

What you’ll do

• Build for Scale: Design the systems, processes and operational infrastructure required to support several times our current volume.
• Own Supply & Inventory: Build the planning behind what we buy, when we buy it and where we position it, balancing availability, growth and cash efficiency.
• Build US & UK Operations: Establish our local operational footprint, including 3PLs, inventory flows, carriers, fulfilment and returns.
• Take us Multi-Channel: Build an operating model that allows DTC, B2B, retail and distribution to scale together.
• Own Operational Partners: Select, manage and negotiate with suppliers, 3PLs, carriers and other key partners.
• Improve Unit Economics: Use our increasing scale to improve fulfilment costs, logistics, payment terms and working capital.
• Build Systems & Visibility: Define the KPIs, tools, automation and processes that let us anticipate problems rather than react to them.
• Build the Team: Develop our existing Operations talent and progressively build the function as the company grows.

Who you are

• You’ve helped scale operations at a fast-growing consumer, e-commerce or physical-product company.
• You understand inventory, supply planning, international logistics and 3PL management deeply.
• You combine strategic thinking with a very hands-on approach
• You know how to develop junior talent and delegate ownership as the team grows.
• Builder mindset and strong alignment with the mission.
